- I am a 26 year old Scot living in Japan. In 2007 I graduated from the University of Glasgow with an honours degree in Sociology and Anthropology. I concentrated in the fields of Media, Consumption, Religion, International Relations and Perception of Environment. Upon graduation I had a great desire to live in another country, learn a language and properly understand another culture. Japan and Japanese is pretty far from typical Scottish life. So here I am. It finally caught up with me this year what I wanted to do as a long term job. Work in the Public relations industry. I had come across it many times in reading and study, but never seriously considered it as a career until now. This blog will follow my quest to land a job in the PR industry, hopefully in Japan, maybe in Asia, but then again, maybe anywhere in the world. Why limit yourself. I feel my skills in Sociology, Anthropology and various interests such as human relations, international relations and history as well as what I have learned teaching English in Japan give me a pretty good grounding to launch myself into my chosen career.
